It’s a ‘Joke’

White people are treated differently from any other race.

Hate crime legislation was developed to protect all racial groups, but a quick review of the following, shows when hate is directed against White people this legislation fails.

During a series of shows in 2019 a comedian ‘joked’ “I want you White people in the audience to do something for me…. I want you to go home and kill your racist Brexit-voting parents.”

Kumar is a confirmed Remainer, his ‘joke’ is at the very least heartfelt.

Nish Kumar still works for the BBC.

Black comedian Sophie Duker ‘joked’ on the BBC Frankie Boyle show “White power is Trump Tower… when we say we want to kill whitey we don’t really mean we want to kill whitey – we do *laughter* but when we say we want to kill whitey, it’s like but not today. Whiteness is a capitalist structure”.

Which part was the ‘joke’?

White power is Trump power” was that the joke?

When we say we want to kill whitey” …. is that a common saying Sophie?

When we say we want to kill whitey we don’t really mean we want to kill whitey – we do” maybe this was the joke?

… but when we say we want to kill whitey, it’s like but not today” or this?

Whiteness is a capitalist structure” or finally was this the joke?

Whatever, saying you want to kill Whites on broadcast media is acceptable, the BBC supported her and there was no criminal prosecution.

The freedom to ‘joke’ about killing White people (and only White people) has become somewhat greater over the last five years. In 2015 the student union Welfare and Diversity Officer at Goldsmiths University, London tweeted #killallwhitemen and called someone ‘white trash’. She later described the hashtag as an ‘in-joke’.

That antiwhite ‘in-joke’ did have repercussions, though they fizzled out in the end. In May 2015, the Metropolitan Police charged her with two offences; sending a threatening message and sending a menacing or offensive message via a public network. Both these chargers were later dropped on the grounds that there was “not enough evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction”.

She kept her job.

At the time an Independent columnist wrote that he personally didn’t see why she should lose her job over it. “It’s ironic, funny and thought-provoking” he said.

A hashtag saying ‘Kill All White Men’ is thought provoking? Just what thoughts might it provoke exactly?

Are there examples of this sort of language and hate towards any other protected group – which hasn’t led to the prosecution and likely imprisonment of the offender? We’ve not seen any.
